I would first like to thank Tim Evans, Bill Rowse and Cliff Freckelton for all their hard work this past season.
I am pleased to announce the hiring of Robert ” Robbie ” Acton as head coach of your Jr C Uxbridge Bruins. Rob comes to us from Stouffville where he has been the Assistant Coach for the Stouffville Spirit of the OJHL and Head Coach of their Development Team of the OJDL for the past two years. Rob has also served as a scout with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey league.
As a player Rob played two seasons with the Stouffville Spirit and split a season between the Bruins and the Spirit from 2010 to 2012. In 2012 Rob was an integral part of the Stouffville Spirit’s Buckland Cup Victory over the Whitby Wildcats. Robs Family is very familiar with the Bruins as his brother Willy played here as well as his cousin Shane Smith. As a former coach of Rob I can attest to his knowledge and dedication towards the Sport and look forward to him instilling that mindset into our players.
Rob will be naming his assistants in the very near future.
We welcome Rob to the Uxbridge Hockey Family and we look forward to a successful season this coming year and continued success in the future of our organization.
