The Bruins scored early and often at the Ice Palace today opening up a 4-0 lead in the first with Jordan Nesbitt starting off the scoring at the 57 second mark. Thomas Sheedy (PP) with the game winner from Alex Siblock and Marco Mastrangelo made it 2-0, followed by Mastrangelo’s hi-lite goal while flat out on the ice on a breakaway. He was hauled down by an Ice player after Siblock had swiped the puck to him. Mastrangelo had 6 points on the night, a goal and 5 assists. Siblock closed out the scoring from Nesbitt and Mastrangelo. The Bruins added 4 more in the third (3 PP goals) by Nicholas Scribny, Adein Reily, Liam Timewell and Siblock who’s goal just beat the clock with less than a second remaining. Assists were credited to Patrick Bolahood, Brady Baker, Thomas Swift, Marshall Lockhart, Colby Gardner, Mastrangelo and Nesbitt. In the third period Reilly (from Mastrangelo) got his second of the game before the Ice finally put one past the Bruins’ Branden Francey who made several big saves in the game when tested. Timewell (SH) with his second as well, closed out the scoring for a 10-1 final. Shots on goal by the Bruins 36 and the Ice 20. Uxbridge holds a slim 1 point lead over the Port Perry Mojacks for second place who are winners of 5 in a row. Up next is Clarington at 7:45pm Jan.8th at the Bear Den.
