There was a lot of happy smiles at the homes of Blake Murray and Kurtis Evans, two Uxbridge residents that just got drafted into the OHL.
The left handed center Murray was selected 7th overall in the 2017 Priority selection draft by the Sudbury Wolves after playing this past season with the Whitby Wildcats Minor Midgets AAA.

Kurtis Evans went in the third round at 43rd overall to the North Bay Battalion where last year he played center on the right side with the Central Ontario Wolves Minor Midget AAA.

Down the road in Stouffville some more happy families as Drew Ferris a right handed center of the Vaughn Kings Minor Midget AAA was drafted 5th in the 14th round by the Niagara Ice Dogs. His teammate Ashton Reesor was selected by the Sarnia Sting in the 8th round at 88th overall. He is a 6″ left handed defenceman.
