The Uxbridge Bruins will get some well deserved rest and practice time for the next two weeks as they await the first round series to be completed. The second place Port Perry Mojacks opted to play and will face the Georgina Ice while the Clarington Eagles face the North Kawartha Knights, the first place Lakefield Chiefs who finished first opted for the bye.

The Bruins will probably have 2 weeks to before starting the second round of playoffs and the only thing that is certain is they wont face Lakefield or Georgina because of the way teams are reseeded as Uxbridge will be seeded 2nd or 3rd.

Watch for the playoff schedule on our Website, Facebook and Twitter. Go Bruins Go!

General Manager Mark Savery has started #playoffsfor28 in reference to Bruins Damien Heinle. Damien was informed by his medical specialist that unfortunately he cannot return to the game he loves as another severe hit could result in a very severe injury. In all the time I have been around the Bruins I have seen injuries and players recover to play again, this is news that really sinks in and I wish Damien all the best in his future. Maybe someday you will be involved in the game at another level and can enjoy our good ol game of hockey in a different way. Good Luck Damien!
