Bruins back in the Win Column!

Bruins defeat Little Britain 6-1 to move into second place 1 point behind Clarington who were winners over North Kawartha.
The teams traded goals in the first with Kieran Beaudoin deflecting a pass on the skate to his stick from Robert Freckleton before firing it over the goalies shoulder.

In the second the shot clock shows the Bruins firing 32 and they got 3 more goals as a result, starting with Carson Bell on a breakaway going five hole. Jake Joosten made a great save to start it and Mathew Hunter cleared the rebound to Tyler Hutchinson and he fed a speeding Bell who finished the play off. Cameron Moffitt then on one knee passed the puck to Damien Heinle who beat a Merchants defender with a toe drag and fired a shot glove side for a 3-1 lead.
Next it was time for Cole Bremner to fire a blast form the point for his first Junior C goal on a setup from Beaudoin. Congrats Cole on your first Bruins goal.

Uxbridge added two more in the third when Beaudoin on a goal mouth scramble fired a shot over a sprawling Adam Harris in the Merchants goal. Freckleton and Hutchinson picked up assists, then Moffitt stole the puck at the blue line and scored stick side on a breakaway unassisted. Jake Joosten turned aside 43 shots for the win and Uxbridge finished with a 68 shot total according to pointstreak. Next up is Georgina on a rare Tuesday night game Oct.17/17 at 7:45 pm.
