Bruins in OT!!

HIGHLIGHTS: Bruins 3 Knights 2 OT

The Uxbridge Bruins extended their recent unbeaten run to 10 games on Saturday night, winning 3-2 in overtime against the North Kawartha Knights, in Apsley.
Cole Bremner scored the game winning goal, assisted by Jackson Savery, with 41 seconds remaining in the extra frame.
Ryan McConkey turned aside 31 shots in net for Uxbridge.

Uxbridge continues roll


The Uxbridge Bruins extended their recent unbeaten run to 9 games on Friday night, winning 4-3 over the Little Britain Merchants.
Ryan McConkey turned aside 20 shots for his Orr Division-leading 18th win of the season.
Sitting at 56 points, Uxbridge is now locked in a three-way tie with Lakefield and North Kawartha for first place in the Orr Division standings.
Next game for Uxbridge is Saturday, Jan. 26 in Apsley vs the North Kawartha Knights. Game time is 7:25 p.m.

The Uxbridge Bruins extended their recent unbeaten run to 8 games after melting the Georgina Ice this afternoon in Sutton.
Jacob Gordon stopped 25 shots in net for the Bruins, maintaining an undefeated record this season.

Bruins take down first place Knights

The Bruins and the Knights played a scoreless first period as Uxbridge out shot NK 19-4. Uxbridge started the second strong on Cameron Moffitt’s steal at his blueline and then raced in setting up Bennett Britton for a shot that rebounded back to Moffitt for a goal. Daniel Giorgio would then get a shot on goal and he fired in his rebound for a 2-0 lead. After Esa Patton ripped one of the crossbar the Knights came back with a PP goal to end the second at 2-1Bruins.

They would tie it up early in the third period but the Bruins exploded for 5 straight goals in just over 9 minutes to put this game out of reach, Giorgio with his second goal, Justin Bennett, Mathew Hunter, Moffitt also with his second and Jackson Savery scored for Uxbridge. The Final was 7-3 as the Bruins move into a tie for first place with North Kawartha and Lakefield.

Ryan McConkey again came up with some big saves to pick up the win as Uxbridge out shot the Knights 48-34.

Uxbridge native Bennett Britton picked up his first point as a Bruin, assisting on Cameron Moffitts second goal.

Uxbridge is at Georgina in Sutton on Sunday Jan.20th at 3:30pm.

Bears win bout in Lakefield!

The Uxbridge Bruins visited the Lakefield Chiefs on Tuesday.

Jackson Savery scored a powerplay goal by roofing it over the chiefs tender on the glove side and Justin Bennett added another powerplay goal in the second before the Chiefs got a goal back. Cameron Moffitt gave the Bruins a 3-1 lead in the third as Ryan McConkey made the key saves to preserve the win by a final of 3-2.

Uxbridge is now 2 points back of Lakefield and North Kawartha for first place.

Welcome Uxbridge resident Britton Bennett who made his debut with the Bruins tonight.

The Knights are at the Bear Den Friday Jan.18th at 7:45pm

Bruins tie Knights

The Uxbridge Bruins travelled to Apsley Saturday evening to face the North Kawartha Knights.

Jackson Savery scores with 1 second remaining in regulation time to force overtime. Ryan McConkey turned aside 56 shots in net for the Bruins.

Uxbridge takes down first place Lakefield

The Uxbridge Bruins hosted the Lakefield Chiefs Friday evening at the Bear Den.

A fast paced, physical game saw both teams share the lead. In the second period, after trailing 2-1 the Bruins would score 3 unanswered and finish the period 4-3. A tight end to end 3rd period, but the Bruins would hold on for the win.

Bruins get revenge on Merchants

The Uxbridge Bruins visited Little Britain on Saturday evening to take on the Merchants. 

The Bruins were looking for revenge after they lost to the Merchants in their previous meeting. 

An excellent, physical, back and forth game where both teams saw the lead. The Bruins would take the go ahead goal just over 2 mins remaining, and then seal it with an open netter.
