Bruins Fall Behind in Series 3-2!

Uxbridge could not find the back of the net for the second game in a row as they fell 3-0 to the Chiefs and fall behind 3-2 in this semi final series. Ryan McConkey again was stellar in goal for Uxbridge. Game 6 is Friday Mar.3rd at 7:45pm at the Bear Den.

It was the old bad bouncing pucks and a step behind as the Bruins are unable to capitalize on home ice against the Lakefield Chiefs. Another solid game in goal by Ryan McConkey kept the game close but a 2-0 loss allows the Chiefs to tie the series at 2 apiece and the teams play their third game in 3 Nights Tuesday Feb.28th at 7:25 pm in Lakefield. Game 4 is Friday Mar.3rd at the Bear Den a 7:45 pm start.

Bruins Win a Big Game in Lakefield!

The Bruins picked up a huge game 3 win in Lakefield tonight to take a 2-1 games lead in the series! After a Lakefield power play goal the Bruins tied the game on Josh Burkholder’s point shot to end the first at one apiece. In the second Derek Dolan got a power play goal to take the lead as he broke by the defense and fired a rocket, stick side, 2-1 Bruins. Just over a minute later it was Simon Feig popping in a shot on a two on one play. They added a 4th goal in the third as Dolan grabbed a loose puck and spun around firing it by a surprised tender in the Lakefield goal. Ryan McConkey made the saves when needed to preserve the win.
Game 4 at the Bear Den Monday Feb.27th at 8:30 pm.

354 Bruins Fans Help Lift the Team to Victory!

Special Thx to Erin Briggs from Therapy Seekers who sang our National Anthem.

After spotting Lakefield a 2-0 lead just 5 mins in, the team battled back on goals from Aiden Reilly and Cameron Moffitt to end the first tied at two a piece. It stayed that way until the third when Jackson Evans banged home the winning goal just 3:06 into the third. With the Bruins Fans cheering on their team Uxbridge got an insurance goal from Cameron Moffitt his second of the night and a 4-2 Bruins final. Solid goaltending by Ryan McConkey in the Bruins net helped seal the win. The series is tied at 1-1. Game 3 in Lakefield Sunday Feb. 26 at 8:30 pm and game 4 back at the Bear Den Monday Feb. 27 also at 8:30 pm! For Video Hilites click on Players names!

Bruins get Blown Out in Lakefield!

It wasn’t pretty as the Bruins suffer a game one loss to the Lakefield Chiefs tonight by the score of 7-0 in their Orr division semi-finals. Game 2 goes Fri. Feb. 24th at 7:45pm at the Bear Den.

Jennifer O’Connell holds a Family Skate at the Arena!

Our Federal member of parliament held a public family skate at the arena today and we were honored when asked for a Bruins jersey for her to wear at the event. In the photo she is with our President Cam Stewart! Thx Jennifer O’Connell !

Bring on Game 7! OT Win for the Bruins!

The ever dangerous point shot from Adam Bartholomew found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead in the first period, Coby Gardner and Wes Cowie assisting on the play. They added a second period goal by Nick Sribny as he banged home his rebound after being setup by Aiden Reilly, however the Knights took advantage of the power play to score one in the second and then late in the third with 6:35 remaining to force overtime.

It was the Bruins turn for the heroics as they were “Stayin Alive” with Damien Heinle’s shot in the slot from Aiden Reilly! Jake Joosten came up with the big saves when needed for the win! Game 7 back in Apsley Sat Feb.18th at 7:25pm! Go Bruins Go!

Bruins Suffer 4-3 Loss in Apsley Tonight!

Another 4-3 score that the Bruins were on the wrong end of in Apsley tonight. Damien Heinle tied the game up in the second at one apiece but the Knights opened up a 4-1 lead after two. That spelled the end of the night for Ryan McConkey in goal but certainly no reflection of his play as he made many a save to keep it close. Cameron Moffitt scored along with Kyle Spataro in the third as it ended up 4-3 Knights. Uxbridge trails the series 3-2. Game 6 is Fri. Feb. 17th @ 7:45pm in Uxbridge

Another 4-3 Score, This Time an OT Loss for Uxbridge!

The Bruins led 1-0 and 2-1 but had to battle back for a 3-3 tie to send this one to overtime, however just 14 seconds into the OT the Knights scored and left town tying the series up at two games a piece.

Bruins goals by Damien Heinle and Adam Bartholomew with two. Ryan McConkey play another stellar game in net for the Bruins. Game 5 Tues in Apsley and Game 6 back at the Bear Den Fri.
