The Knights defeated the Uxbridge Bruins 5-4 in overtime tonight as the Bruins came out flat in the first period trailing 2-1 after one. Daryl Thomson redirected a Shane Smith pass to tie the game at 1-1 after the Knights had taken a 1-0 lead. In the second the Bruins Thomas Swift scored his first goal in Junior C on a seeing eye shot from the point that went in off of the right post to even the score at 2 apiece. The Knights however responded with two of their own to take a 4-2 lead into the third but the Bruins Thomson took things into his own hands scoring early to trail by just one goal. Thomson would get his 3rd goal of the night when he stole the puck at the NK blue-line and went in on a breakaway scoring on his backhand. That set the stage for overtime where the Bruins lost their third OT game of the season 5-4 to the Knights.
