Merchants Squeak by Bruins 2-1!

The Little Britain Merchants opened up a 2-0 lead in the first period and that is the way it stayed until the third period. When on a play where Jake Joosten came up with a big save as a Merchants player tried a wraparound shot, the Bruins Thomas Sheedy got the rebound and flipped the puck high over everyone into center ice. Skating at full speed was Alex Siblock and as he went in on a breakaway he was hooked resulting in a penalty shot being called against Little Britain. Faking the wrist shot Siblock pulled it to his backhand and roofed it over the glove hand of the Merchants goalie Adam Harris. The Bruins had several scoring chances with the extra attacker but could not get the equalizer falling 2-1 to Little Britain. Uxbridge plays in Port Perry on Sunday Nov. 1st at 2:25 pm against the Mojacks.
