at the 7:26 mark of the first period(click on our YouTube Channel for hilites) and then Uxbridge blew the game wide open in the second as they picked up a 6-0 victory on Precious Minds night at the Bear Den. Representatives of Precious Minds (a local Support Group provides support to families with children and youth who have barriers to learning, this includes the full spectrum of learning, physical, developmental and behavioral disabilities) dropped the ceremonial puck to start the game between Uxbridge and Little Britain. Carter Vahey, Tyson Eastgate, Dylan Locke scored in the second and they got two more in the third from Connor Beck and Matt Pollard. Max Tjin recorded his second shutout of the season as the Bruins jumped into 2nd place in the standings.

Tyson Eastgate got the game winner Friday Nov.22 at the Bear Den banging in a rebound for a 4-1 lead. the Bruins went on to ice the game 8-3 over Georgina. Uxbridge came out flat the next night in Little Britain falling behind 3-0 after one period of play losing 6-3 as they allowed 4 power play goals and two short handed goals with Merchants Kurtis Moore picking up 5 of them.

After a tentative first period the Bruins found themselves trailing 1-0 to Clarington, but came out playing better in the second as they scored to tie the game on Marco Mastrangelo’s power play point shot, It was setup nicely by Jarett Smith and Conner Beck. In the 3rd period 2 goals in a 1 minute span gave them a 3-1 lead with Tim Bierema (unassisted) and Dylan Locke from Tyson Eastgate and Smith again. However Clarington picked up two goals coming back to send it to overtime and then on to the fan favorite shootout. Matt Allen missed on the first attempt as did the Eagles Dylan Howorko, but Dylan Locke made good on his shot for the Bruins sliding the puck under the the left pad of the Clarington goalie Conner Visca. Jarod Hollister could not find the net as Bruins Goalie Cody Northover left nothing to shoot at which set the stage for the winning goal. Conner Beck got Visca moving to his right and slid the puck under the outstretched hand of the goalie to send the Bruins fans home with the win. Check out the winning goal on our YouTube link.

Once it came time to play hockey the Bruins had an off night falling 4-0 to the Chiefs. Lakefield had leads of 1-0 after the first period and upped that to 3-0 in the second. Uxbridge sits in third place 3 points behind 1st place Lakefield. The Bruins are in Port Perry on Sunday to play the Mojacks with a 6:50pm start.

After giving up a 2-0 lead to Clarington Kory Brand picked up a rebound off Matt Pollards point blast and fired it at the Eagles goalie CJ Sharp who got a piece of it as it went into the net. Shane Smith also assisted on the play. Clarington restored the 2 goal lead in the second, however the Bruins poured on the pressure with Shane Smith banging the puck under Sharp from the side of the net. Brand and Carter Vahey chipped in on the play. Justin Dube was sent in on a breakaway by Vahey and Dylan Locke as he fired a hard wrist shot that eluded the Eagles tender, tying the game at 3-3 with his first goal in Junior C. The Eagles got a late power play goal for the lead and despite many chances in the third the Bruins could not get the equalizer.
